Julie Johnston was brought up in the beautiful Adirondack region in (way) upstate New York. She began exploring nature’s bold display as soon as she could take her first steps! This can be confirmed by her loving parents who spent many hours traipsing behind her as she explored all of the goodies in the brook that ran through the backyard. She developed a passion for examining the individual small elements that completed the whole object, or picture, if you will. As a young woman, Julie took interest in the Victorian architecture that provided a stunning view as she concentrated on what was outside of the classroom. After many attempts she realized that her artistic abilities did not lie in drawing! About 20 years ago, Ms. Johnston developed a passion for photography and has spent numerous hours photographing the art of architecture as well as the wonderful textures that mother nature has gifted to us. After many “talking to’s” from friends for not sharing her library of photos, she is making her debut into the world of professional photography exhibition.She hopes you come to love her images of textures, architecture and “parts of the whole”.
